Who We Are
Beantown Baroque was founded by Artistic Director Kurt Collins. Ever since falling in love with Early Music and Historic Keyboard Instruments, Kurt dreamed of forming an Early Music ensemble.
Relocating to Boston and meeting other passionate musicians, who shared a similar vision, provided the spark needed to ignite that dream.
And so, with the generous collaboration of the founding musicians, Beantown Baroque was born.
What We Do
We perform concert music from the 17th and 18th centuries, on period instruments, in an exciting and engaging way. We believe early music should be accessible to everyone.
Our Mission
To bring Early Music to diverse audiences throughout the greater Boston area. And to offer a path for new and emerging musicians who seek performance opportunities.
